Bergamot

It is good for tooth and gum care, warts, wasp stings, anorexia, colitis, diarrhea, childbirth, frigidity, vaginal discharge, nervous exhaustion, and stress-related conditions.

Clary Sage
Clary Sage is used for skin care (acne, boils, dandruff, hair loss, inflamed conditions, oily skin and hair, ophthalmia, ulcers, and wrinkles), high blood pressure, muscular aches and pains, asthma, throat infections, whooping cough, cramp, dyspepsia, flatulence, amenorrhea, labor pain, dysmenorrhea, depression, frigidity, impotence, migraine, nervous tension, and stress-related disorders. Avoid during pregnancy. Do not use while drinking alcohol.

Clove Buds
Clove oil is antibacterial, antiseptic, and analgesic and is a good oil for the prevention of disease and infection. It is best known as a quick remedy for toothache although it is equally useful in digestive problems and muscular disorders. It can be used in the treatment of asthma, nausea, and sinusitis, and as a sedative.

Cypress
Cypress is beneficial for decongesting the circulatory and lymphatic systems and may help with edema, cellulite, varicose veins and water retention. It is anti-infectious, antibacterial and antimicrobial. Cypress was highly valued as a medicine and as an incense by ancient civilizations and is used by the Tibetans in present time as a purification incense. It is beneficial for hemorrhoids, oily and overhydrated skin, excessive perspiration, insect repellent, pyorrhea, wounds, muscular camps, asthma, bronchitis, spasmodic coughing, dysmenorrhea, menopausal symptoms, menorrhagia, nervous tension and stress-related conditions.

Eucalyptus
Used for respiratory infection & congestion

Analgesic, antibacterial, anticatarrhal, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, expectorant, insect repellent, stimulant

Asthma, coughs, hypoglycemia, lungs, migraines, sinusitis, aches/pains, endometriosis, cystitis, herpes, malaria, rheumatism, skin infections, wounds

Geranium
Geranium is antidepressant, balancing, fluid reducing healing, and uplifting. it is good for digestive problems (diabetes, diarrhea, liver/gall bladder problems); genito-urinary (fluid retention, kidney stones, balancing hormones, infertility); emotional (anxiety, depression, neuralgia); respiratory (sore throat tonsillitis); skin care (all skin types-balancing), astringent, bleeding, bruises, burns, wounds, ulcers, dry eczema; mosquito and insect repellent.

Ginger
Ginger is best known as a digestive aid to the West. However, in the East it is used for rheumatism, bacterial dysentery, toothache, and malaria. Additionally, it is used for fatigue, muscular aches and pains, poor circulation, sprains, strains, arthritis, congestion, coughs, sinusitis, sore throat, diarrhea, colic, cramp, flatulence, loss of appetite, nausea, travel sickness, chills, colds, flu, fever, infectious disease, and nervous exhaustion.

Grapefruit
Used for cleansing and as an air antiseptic. Phototoxic.

Antidepressant, antiseptic, disinfectant, diuretic, stimulant, and tonic.

Cellulite, digestion, lymphatic decongestant, water retention, depression, gallstone, jet lag, liver disorders, migraines, PMS, stress

Balancing and uplifting, relieves anxiety

Helichrysum
Helichrysum is good for depression, lethargy, neuralgia, nervous exhaustion, and stress-related conditions as well as skin conditions such as burns, dermatitis, and eczema. Helpful for muscular aches and pains and rheumatism, also used in Europe for respiratory complaints.

Hyssop
Hyssop is excellent for bruises, dermatitis, and eczema, rheumatism, anxiety, fatigue, nervous tension and stress-related conditions. Not recommended for use during pregnancy or if epileptic.

Jasmine
Anticatarrhal, antidepressant, antispasmodic, cicatrizant, expectorant

Jasmine has been used for hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, dysentery, depression, nervousness, coughs, respiratory congestion, reproductive problems

Uplifting to the emotions; may help increase intuitive powers.

Lavender
Used for relaxing, healing, tonifying - for burns

The most versatile of all essential oils, lavender is good for all skin types. Use for acne, athlete's foot, bruises, burns, dermatitis, eczema, insect bites, psoriasis, sunburn, muscular aches and pains, nausea, depression, headache, hypertension, and nervous tension.

Lemon
Lemon is antirheumatic, effective against scurvy, antiseptic, antiviral, bactericidal, and combats fever. It can be used for sore throat, colds, acne, anemia, brittle nails, boils, corns, cuts, greasy skin, herpes, insect bites, mouth ulcers, spots, varicose veins, warts, arthritis, cellulitis, high blood pressure, nosebleeds, poor circulation, asthma, bronchitis, catarrh, indigestion, flu, and infections. Do not use on skin when exposed to direct sunlight.

Lemon Verbena
Lemon Verbena is especially effective for digestive problems resulting from nervous conditions. It is used for cramps, indigestion, liver congestion, anxiety, insomnia, nervous tension, and stress-related conditions.

Myrrh
Myrrh is useful for athlete's foot, chapped and cracked skin, eczema, mature complexions, ringworm, wounds, wrinkles, arthritis, asthma, bronchitis, catarrh, coughs, gum infections, gingivitis, mouth ulcers, sore throat, voice loss, diarrhea, dyspepsia, flatulence, hemorrhoids, loss of appetitie, amenorrhea, vaginal discharge, itching, and thrush. In the British Herbal Pharmacopoeia it is indicated for mouth ulcers, gingivitis and pharyngitis. Do not use during pregnancy.

Neroli
Neroli is used in skin care for mature and sensitive skin, scars, spider veins, stretch marks, and wrinkles. It is beneficial for poor circulation, chronic diarrhea, colic, flatulence, nervous stomach, anxiety, depression, emotional problems, shock, and stress. There was a princess of Nerola in Italy who wore this oil for perfume, and it was named after her. Antidepressant, aphrodisiac, sedative.

Nutmeg
Nutmeg has been used for centuries for digestive and kidney problems. Good for arthritis, gout, muscular aches and pains, poor circulation, rheumatism, flatulence, indigestion, nausea, sluggish digestion, bacterial infection, frigidity, impotence, neuralgia, nervous fatigue. Use in moderation and with care in pregnancy.

Palmarosa
Palmarosa is beneficial for acne, dermatitis, minor skin infections, scars, sores, wrinkles, moisturizing the skin, and stimulating cellular regeneration, intestinal infections, anorexia, nervous exhaustion, and stress-related conditions. Antiseptic, bactericidal.

Patchouli
Patchouli is used for acne, athlete's foot, cracked and chapped skin, dandruff, dermatitis, weeping eczema, fungal infections, hair care, impetigo, insect repellent, oil hair and skin, open pores, sores, wounds, wrinkles, frigidity, nervous exhaustion and stress. The scent, of course, is used on linens and clothes and in cosmetics. It is also widely used in alcoholic and soft drinks.

Peppermint
Used for stomach, nausea and headache

Analgesic, anti-inflammatory (prostate and nerves), antipruritic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, and invigoration

Purifying and stimulating to the conscious mind. Increases mental accuracy.

Peppermint helps reduce fevers, candida, nausea, vomiting and is cooling to the body in hot weather. The essence is from the leaves and flowering tops. It is especially good for food-related headaches, toothache, sinus congestion, colds, muscular and joint problems. As with all mints, do not use in conjunction with homeopathic remedies. Good for all digestive problems, peppermint also clears the mind, is effective with shock and hysteria, and useful for mental and general fatigue. It has many applications in the skin care area because of its cooling, anti-inflammatory and decongestive properties. Use with acne, dermatitis, ringworm, redness, irritation, and sunburn. In China and Japan, mints have been cultivated since ancient times, and a type of peppermint was found in an Egyptian tomb dating from 1000 B.C. Use in moderation, and do not use with homeopathic treatment. Do not use with pregnancy.

Peru Balsam
Peru Balsam is good for dry skin, chapped skin, eczema, rashes, sores, and wounds, asthma, bronchitis, coughs, colds, rheumatism, and low blood pressure. It has warming, comforting qualities and is beneficial for nervous tension and stress.

Pimento Berry
Pimento Berry (Allspice) is used for arthritis, fatigue, muscle cramp, rheumatism, stiffness, chills, congested coughs, bronchitis, flatulence, indigestion, nausea, depression, nervous exhaustion, neuralgia, tension, and stress. Use sparingly.

Ravensara
Ravensara is obtained from the tree of the same name and is used for viral infections and detoxification. With its antibacterial properties it is beneficial for acne.

Rose
The properties of rose include-antidepressant, aphrodisiac, balancing, female problems, rejuvenating, uplifting. It cleanses the blood and is the tonic for the heart. Good for digestive, such as constipation, liver conditions, nausea. Excellent for all female problems. Good for depression, insomnia, nervous tension, sadness, shock and grief. Good for all skin care-dry skin, mature skin, redness or inflammation, sensitive skin, spider veins, wrinkles.

Rosemary
Rosemary has been used for a variety of conditions such as respiratory and circulatory disorders, varicose veins, liver congestion, digestive and nervous complaints, muscular and rheumatic pain, balancing the endocrine system, as well as skin and hair problems. It stimulates the scalp and promotes hair growth and is effective for acne, dandruff, dermatitis, eczema, greasy hair, insect repellent, and lice. Rosemary is to be avoided during pregnancy and not to be used excessively by epileptics or those with high blood pressure. It is good for asthma, bronchitis, whooping cough, colitis, dyspepsia, flatulence, dysmenorrhea, leucorrhea, colds, flu, infections, headaches, hypotension, neuralgia, mental fatigue, nervous exhaustion, and stress-related disorders. Do not use during pregnancy, if epileptic, or with high blood pressure.

Vanilla
Vanilla comes from the "pod" of a white flower with a deep, narrow trumpet. After picking, the "pod" or "bean" has to be fermented and dried for about six months to turn it into the fragrant brown vanilla pod. The oil is used as a fragrance ingredient in perfumes and as a flavoring agent.

Ylang Ylang
Used for equilibrating and aphrodisiac

Antidepressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, sedative, and tonic

Calming and relaxing. May help with anger and low self-esteem.

Ylang Ylang, with its exotic, sweet fragrance, is used in high-class perfumes. It is an antidepressant and an aphrodisiac and reduces hypertension, anxiety, tension, and fear. It is used for general skin care, acne, hair growth, and insect bites. Use in moderation.
