These handmade soaps are purely for your indulgence. I make them for you because I just love soap! I started buying vegetable oil soaps years ago. Once I tried aromatherapy soaps made with natural plant essences and healing properties, synthetic fragrances lost their appeal for me. Essential oils affect our emotions and our psyche-and give us a "lift" that we need in our fast-moving, stressful lives. Sometimes your bath is the only "me" time you have. Besides, I'm a fanatic about good ingredients and use pure, minimally processed oils that retain their nutritional characteristics. In these soaps you will find a lot of extra virgin olive oil, virgin coconut oil, and unrefined shea butter. Shea butter is from West Africa. It is extracted from the nut of the fruit from the karite tree and has been used by Africans for many years on hair and skin. In Europe, shea butter is now used in chocolate to replace cocoa butter. Westerners are discovering the benefits of using shea butter for scars and skin conditions such as eczema.
